Finding Balance Amidst Chaos
Life can feel like a whirlwind sometimes—so much going on energetically and emotionally, and it’s easy to get swept up in it all. That’s why I love having tools that help me stay grounded. I start each day with grounding and shielding, which really helps. But sometimes something unexpected happens that throws me off. That’s when I lean on one of my favorite tools: Circle with Love and Let Go. It’s quick, powerful, and helps me reset when I’m overwhelmed by emotions that aren’t even mine.
An Emotional Journey
Not long ago, I was driving and passed a car accident. There were ambulances, flashing lights, and I could just feel the heaviness in the air. Instantly, I was flooded with emotions—tears welled up, and it felt like I was carrying the pain of everyone involved. It reminded me of an experience from my childhood when I witnessed an accident and didn’t know how to process the emotions I picked up from others. That’s something I’ve learned about myself and many of the sensitive souls I work with—we sometimes carry things that don’t belong to us.
How “Circle with Love and Let Go” Saved the Day
In that moment of overwhelm, I used my Circle with Love and Let Go tool. Within seconds, I felt lighter. The tears dried, and I could breathe again. It didn’t erase the sadness of the situation, but it cleared the emotional clutter that wasn’t mine to carry. And that’s the beauty of this tool—once you learn it, it’s something you can teach to your kids, too. It helps us all let go of what doesn’t serve us.
The Methodology
Here’s how it works: I make an “OK” sign with my fingers and trace a circle in the air around the situation, the people, or even just the emotions I’m feeling. Then, in my mind’s eye, I turn that circle into a balloon, fill it with everything I want to release, and I let it go—sending it up to God, the universe, or wherever you feel safe letting it land. And just like that, peace settles in.
A Tool for Parents and Children
This tool is especially powerful for sensitive kids—including those on the autism spectrum—who often pick up on emotions around them and don’t know what to do with it all. I’ve taught this to so many parents to use with their kids, and I’ve seen it make a big difference. It’s also great for us as parents—because let’s be honest, we often carry more than we need to, too.
Daily Practices for Emotional Resilience
Having daily practices like grounding and shielding is such a strong foundation—it helps protect us from all the energetic “noise” out there. But Circle with Love and Let Go is what I use when something slips through the cracks and hits me hard. It’s like my emergency emotional reset button.
