I’m so excited to share one of my favorite quick techniques with you — something I call four-dimensional grounding.

It’s simple, powerful, and only takes a few seconds. If you already practice grounding or shielding, this will add a whole new layer. And if you’re brand-new, no worries — you can still jump right in and give it a try.

The Superman or Wonder Woman Stance

One of the easiest ways to practice four-dimensional grounding is through the Superman (or Wonder Woman!) stance. It’s fun, it’s empowering, and it engages three out of the four dimensions right away.

Here’s how:

  • Stand tall with your feet about shoulder-width apart, chest lifted, and hands resting firmly on your hips.
  • Look upward slightly — like toward a picture high on the wall — without tilting all the way back to the ceiling.

This stance alone starts shifting your energy.

Dimension 1: Length

As you stand in this pose, notice how tall and aligned you feel. Imagine a gentle thread being pulled upward from the crown of your head while your feet stay firmly planted on the earth. This simple awareness connects you from top to bottom, grounding you in your full length.

Dimension 2: Width

Now, focus on your width. Hands on hips (or arms stretched wide like you’re ready to fly) help you claim your space. You’re expanding into the room around you — taking up the space you deserve with confidence and ease.

Adding Intention: The Fourth Dimension

The stance takes care of length and width, but here’s where we bring in the magic: intention.

Choose a phrase that resonates with you. Something like:

  • I am brave.
  • I am calm.
  • I am safe.
  • I am strong.

Even if you don’t fully feel it yet, saying it anchors that intention in your body.

And here’s the beautiful part — in less than 30 seconds, you’ve grounded into your length, width, and intention. It’s a quick reset for your energy, your mind, and your heart.

Sharing and Practicing

This isn’t just for you — it’s also a fantastic tool to teach your kids. Try it before school, or whenever emotions are running high. Guide them into the stance and invite them to say, “I am calm” or “I can calm myself.”

It’s simple, and it works.

Now, there is a third dimension — depth — which brings even more presence and heart connection. If you’d like to go deeper, I teach the full practice inside my Four-Dimensional Grounding Class, available in the Awesome Autism Tools in Action Membership.

Try It Out!

Here’s your challenge today:
Stand like Superman (or Wonder Woman).
Feel your length.
Claim your width.
Speak your intention.

Take one deep breath and notice how different you feel.

Imagine what’s possible when you add in all four dimensions of grounding. To explore the full practice, come join me inside the membership at awesomeautismtools.com/membership.

In closing, remember this:
You are grounded. You are centered. You are strong. And the world is better because of the space you hold in it.

If you try this, let me know how it goes — and please share it with a friend who could use a little extra strength grounding today.

Have a fantastic day! 🌿
