As we wrap up 2025, I want to share one of my favorite end-of-year traditions with you—choosing a word for the next year. This isn’t about resolutions or pressure. It’s simply a gentle way to create focus and intention. One word that anchors you… and sometimes even your whole family.

Why Choose a Word?

Life can feel loud. Busyness, emotions, schedules, unexpected twists—it’s a lot.
A word for the year becomes a soft center point. Something you can come back to when everything feels a little wild.

😊 My Experience With It

I’ve been choosing a word for over 15 years now, and every single year it teaches me something new.

Some favorites:

  • Ease — helped me move through changes without gripping so tightly.
  • Routines (in 2020!) — brought calm through simple daily rhythms.
  • Courageous — pushed me through big challenges and unexpected adventures.
  • Relax, Receive, Radiate — helped me soften, accept help, and spread love during a hard season.

And 2025…
My word surprised me: Miracles.

At first I didn’t want it. I thought miracles meant huge dramatic moments. But this year has shown me that miracles are tiny things—especially when working with the incredible kids I serve.
A peaceful car ride.
A smile.
A moment of calm.
Those are miracles too.

I’ve even been writing down one miracle a day—just small notes in my journal. And wow, what a shift it creates. Suddenly you realize… there is so much wonder packed into ordinary days.

😍Want Help Finding Your Word?

I created a free mini-class to walk you through five simple steps.
It includes:

  • a word list
  • a process
  • gentle guidance
  • and some fun bonus tools

Here’s a quick peek at the steps:

  1. Pray or pause—just ask for guidance.
  2. Look through the word list and circle what stands out.
  3. Let yourself choose the word that whispers to you.
  4. Clear any resistance (yes… sometimes God hands us a spicy word!).
  5. Create a reminder so your word can support you all year long.

It’s simple, but powerful.

🎁 OR Do You Want to Be GIVEN a Word?

If choosing a word feels overwhelming—or if you’d like a word for your child too—I also offer sessions where I tune in and choose a personalized word and affirmation for you. It’s one of my favorite things to do.

For my non-speaking clients this year I have been doing super cool word sessions…. Where the child finds a word and affirmation for their parent and tells me the word and affirmation they want for themself!

A Final Thought

Choosing a word is not another “task.”
It’s a gift.
A way to give your heart a place to land in 2026.

I hope your word brings you peace, grounding, and simple, everyday miracles.

You are seen, heard, known, and loved.
Thank you for being here with me this year. I can’t wait to walk into 2026 together.Happy New Year, my friends. 🌟
