✨ Embracing Divine Timing
A few sweet stories and a gentle reminder that heaven really is involved in the details…
Introduction to Divine Timing
Have you ever had something line up so perfectly that you couldn’t chalk it up to chance? I’ve had a few moments like that lately—and I wanted to share a couple stories that reminded me just how beautifully divine timing works. These windows of connection, comfort, and even protection show up when we least expect them, and they always seem to leave a little trail of awe behind.
Emma’s Sweet Story
Emma (who you’ve heard me talk about often) had an amazing experience recently that felt so clearly orchestrated. She and her son Jay decided to make a trek to the temple. A friend had suggested it, and even though the drive was long and traffic-heavy, they felt guided to go.
And wouldn’t you know it? They crossed paths with a group from Redlands. One of the young men in that group, Jacob, had a brother with special needs—very similar to Jay. Emma and Jacob ended up having a meaningful, heartfelt exchange that left them both feeling seen and hopeful. It felt like heaven was saying, “Here. You two needed to meet.”
Jay’s View on the Moment
Later, when I did a Spirit to Spirit Session with Jay about that temple trip, he told me something so beautiful. He said that Jacob’s brother’s angel and his own team of helpers had worked together to line up that moment perfectly. It reminded me that divine timing isn’t just a thing—it’s a team effort.
Jay even showed me an image of little fireworks were going off in the spirit world when the connection happened. And he really hopes that Jacob’s brother felt supported by what unfolded that day.
Prayer Meeting Impressions
I had a chance to reflect on this story even more during one of our weekly prayer meetings. That phrase—“time is relative”—just kept echoing in my mind. It reminded me how divine timing isn’t always about our timing. It’s about something much bigger and more beautifully woven.
When we’re tuned in, we can feel those nudges—those moments when something seems to land just right. It made me reflect on similar moments in my own life.
Bryson’s Close Call
One of those moments? My son Bryson, who’s serving a mission in the Philippines, had a near miss while riding his bike in the mountains. A motorcycle came around the corner fast, and it could’ve been bad. But somehow, both riders slowed at just the right moment. They barely bumped—no injuries. It was so close and so protected. Definitely one of those divine intervention moments.
Devon’s Escape in Mexico
And then there’s the memory of my son Devon’s experience in Mexico. He was kidnapped, and somehow, miraculously, as he reached the end of the road during his escape, a city bus just happened to stop right there. He jumped on, and it saved him. That kind of precision… it’s not a coincidence. It was a rescue, wrapped in divine timing.
Let’s Reflect Together
I’d love to invite you to take a moment and reflect:
When have you experienced divine timing in your own life?
Maybe it was something big. Maybe it was small and quiet. But those nudges—the ones where everything falls into place—are such gifts. They remind us we’re not alone. That angels really are working behind the scenes.
How to Work with Divine Timing
So what can we do?
✨ Pause and notice
✨ Say thank you when it aligns
✨ Share your story—it helps others see the divine timing in their lives too
Divine timing often shows up in the little things: a kind word at the right time, a text from a friend you were just thinking about, a situation resolving when you’d almost given up.
It’s all part of the beautiful, sacred rhythm of life.
I hope these stories bring you a little hope and a gentle reminder that heaven really is aware of you. And I’d love to hear your divine timing moments too.
With love,
Sheridan 💛
