As December ramps up, do you ever catch yourself thinking, “I just need a miracle”?
The holidays can feel tender, chaotic, emotional, or even lonely. Maybe you’re in a new phase of life. Maybe someone you love is struggling. Maybe you’re carrying more than you can comfortably hold.
But here’s the beautiful truth I talk about in this week’s podcast episode:
Sometimes the miracle isn’t something that happens to us…
It’s something that happens within us.
🌟 What a Miracle Really Is
A Course in Miracles says a miracle is simply a shift in perception.
A moment where:
- fear softens into love
- irritation melts into patience
- resentment shifts into gratitude
- worry turns into trust
It’s that lightness you feel when something inside you softens—before anything outside of you changes.
And that is the miracle of Christmas.
🌟 Even the First Christmas Was Messy
We picture the manger scene as peaceful and glowing… but the reality was stressful, unexpected, and uncomfortable. Yet in all that chaos, the world’s perception shifted. Love—embodied in Jesus—became accessible, close, and deeply personal.
Christmas didn’t remove the chaos.
It transformed how people saw it.
We can do the same.
🌟 A Simple Practice
Think of something heavy in your life right now—a worry, a relationship, a situation.
Then ask:
“How would love see this?”
Or
“What happens if I put on my ‘love glasses’ for just one breath?”
You don’t need to fix anything.
Just give love a small opening.
That opening is the miracle.
🌟 A Personal Shift I Had to Make
In the podcast episode this week, I share a story about Bryson, who’s spending his second Christmas in the Philippines. I got a message from him asking me to pray for someone in danger, and I spiraled into worry for a full hour.
I couldn’t shift my perception on my own—so I reached out for help.
My coach lovingly reminded me:
“Do what you can, pray, and trust—he is in God’s hands, the best hands possible.”
That one thought completely changed how I felt.
Nothing outside of me changed… but everything inside me did.
And that was my Christmas miracle.
🌟 The Ongoing Miracle
The miracle of Christmas isn’t something that happened 2,000 years ago.
It’s something that happens every time your heart softens—even a tiny bit.
This season, keep an eye out for:
✨ moments of forgiveness
✨ moments of softness
✨ moments where peace sneaks in
✨ moments where love replaces fear
Those are your miracles.
