I’m excited to share a special conversation with Spencer —a devoted dad who’s walking the path of parenting two autistic sons, Sterling and Oliver.
Over the years, I’ve been honored to support their family through energy work and now, Spirit to Spirit communication.
Exploring ways to open up connection and understanding where spoken words sometimes just aren’t enough.
This post shares a peak into his world: the challenges, the breakthroughs, and the surprising tools (like telepathy tapes!) that have made a real difference for his boys and his family.
Meet Spencer and His Family
In our conversation, Spencer opened up about what it was like in those early days: both Sterling and Oliver are on the autism spectrum, and Sterling is non-speaking while Oliver’s speech is limited and unreliable. Instead of sticking to just the “mainstream” path, Spencer’s family has courageously chosen to try new things—stretching beyond the typical interventions to find what truly works for their kids. If you’re a parent on this journey, you’ll recognize that longing to break through the barrier of communication and really understand your child.
Journey into Spelling to Communicate
For Spencer and his family, the big shift started in 2017 when a dear friend, DawnMarie, introduced them to Spelling to Communicate (S2C). Through this method, Sterling was able to express himself with clarity that no one thought possible. But as time went on, new challenges came up, and Sterling couldn’t always access spelling the way he once did. That has been challenging. Frustration and heartache can creep in when it feels like you’re losing hard-won ground.
Discovering Energy Work
At a pivotal moment, Sterling was able to share he felt “bad energy” that was affecting how Sterling was feeling and functioning.
That’s when our paths crossed. A trusted friend suggested he try working with an energy worker to help (me)
Honestly, Spencer wasn’t sure about energy work at first—but he was willing to give it a try.
And what followed was so powerful! Not only did Sterling benefit, but the whole family found new layers of support, comfort, and sometimes, those subtle shifts that ripple out into everyday life.
(If you’ve ever felt like you’ve tried everything, I get it. Sometimes it’s about finding the right energetic door to open.)
Telepathy Tapes and Spiritual Revival (Part 2 of the interview – on the Private Podcast)
One of the most surprising and beautiful twists in their journey was discovering telepathy tapes.
Spencer shared how these tapes made a huge impact—not just for his family, but for friends and colleagues, too.
There was even a spiritual revival for someone he knew.
Sometimes the tools that seem a little “out there” are exactly what’s needed to create a breakthrough!
For me, this is a reminder that healing and communication don’t always look the way we expect.
Our spirit finds a way, if we’re willing to listen.
Reflections and Future Insights
Looking back, Spencer reflects on the unexpected gifts that have unfolded—gifts that only revealed themselves as the family continued to say “yes” to new ways of connecting.
He sees these kids not as “pawns,” but as future “queens” on the chessboard of life: powerful, wise, and full of untapped potential.
This is a journey of ongoing learning, for all of us. There’s no map, but there is always guidance, support, and love.
